Far Infared Sauna

Infrared Sauna.HEIC

Far infrared sauna therapy uses targeted wavelengths of light to gently heat the body from within, increasing circulation, promoting sweating, and supporting the body’s natural recovery processes.

This form of heat therapy may be used to reduce muscle tension, support recovery, promote relaxation, and improve overall circulation.

How Does It Work

Infrared saunas use near, mid, and far infrared wavelengths to warm the body directly rather than heating the surrounding air. This allows for a more gradual, tolerable heat exposure while still increasing heart rate, circulation, and sweat response. The physiological response is similar to light cardiovascular activity, with increased blood flow and vasodilation supporting tissue recovery and relaxation.

What To Expect

Sessions typically last 20–40 minutes and involve seated heat exposure in a controlled environment. The heat builds gradually and is generally more tolerable than traditional saunas.

Increased sweating and elevated heart rate are expected as part of the body’s natural response to heat. Please plan to wear a clean bathing suit as the light will not penetrate your clothing. A towel will be provided.

During treatment, you pat your skin dry with a clean towel frequently during the sauna to remove sweat, which contains toxins you do not want to reabsorb through your skin.  Afterward, pat dry with a towel, as the oils in your skin are enhanced by a far infrared sauna; showering is not advised.

Recommended frequency two to three times per week.  Maximum of one 40-minute session per day.
