Unlike traditional saunas, infrared saunas operate between 120° and 140° and do not heat the air. Instead, lamps penetrate human tissues to warm the body directly. The benefits of far infrared saunas include helping relieve inflammation, stiffness, and soreness by increasing blood circulation. The deep penetration of far infrared relaxes muscles and carries off metabolic waste products while delivering oxygen-rich blood to the muscles for faster recovery.
