What is the Graston Technique?

Around the 1990s, the Graston Technique is just a trademarked version of the gua sha massage technique.  The biggest difference being you get Graston from a physical therapist with a different type of medical-grade tool.  Both techniques share many similarities, including a focus on muscled areas for the same treatment purpose, and the use of a liniment or lotion to prevent abrasions, and both are referred to as Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization techniques (IASTM).
